Default 318ti 4cyl fpr work with m52 swap??

My 98 ti has a frame mounted fpr from the m44. I've swapped in a 328i m52 engine and curious if the bar rating on the 6cyl fpr is different than the m44 one.

My ti is finally running! TRM tuning did a wonderfull $100 job deleting ews and other various things for swap. Not throwing any codes.

IIRC the fuel pressure is the same for 4 and 6 cylinder engines, so you should be OK with the original FPR

The ti regulator and fuel pump are up to the task of supplying a stock S52.

If you start modding the engine (specifically larger injectors and a re-map), you may get starvation at high RPMs.

It is important to be sure you don't have BOTH a fuel rail regulator as well as a frame mounted one when you swap, or you will have starvation problems due to too much pressure drop. 1996 model year is the most tricky in this regard, as they changed from engine to frame in 1996.

If your engine is set up to connect directly to the lines from the frame (no regulator on the fuel rail) you are fine with your set-up. Don't forget to change the fuel filter every couple years!
