Default Rim Question hurry deadline 11am

Hey so im looking to getting a new set of rims and i found a set on craigslist for $100 they are 16" off a 99 323i, the thing is the tires used on the my stock 16"s are not the same.

Mine are P205/60R16
Hers are P205/55R16

Will this make a difference? I think these rims are a steal for $100... no curb rash at all.

you have the wrong sized tires, she has the correct size, you'll be fine with those

you'd be better off using her tires if the tread's about the same, the tires you have are slightly too big which throws off your speedometer slightly

one tire blew so she goes out and buy a whole new set of rims? in that case you could use your old tires since they fit before

nope. You can't put a 16" tire on a 17" rim.

the lady before me had 16" tires on them lol and thats what i compared my tires/rims to last night.... I figured thats why the tread on her tires split down the middle... happy to know now...

really? how? I can't believe a tire shop would actually mount a 16" tire on a 17" rim

are you sure that's a 17"? looks like a 16" to me, as far as I know that's the only size that style rim was available in
