Default I got an offer today

I was at the shop working on my car today (raised the front end cause it was way too low) and I got an offer for my car. I'm contemplating on selling it because I will be going to Iraq soon. It was a low offer but I almost took it, $4,000! I know my car is worth more than that to me but is it worth that much to anybody else.

Here are the details:

*1996 base model
*80,300 miles with rebuilt motor done by myself.
*Angel eyes
*Supersprint headers and muffler (70mm dual round)
*FK Coilover suspension
*FK rear tail lights
*$3,500 invested on paint job. blue black and purple w/ graphics
*Rieger body kit. Front, Rear and side skirts
*K&N cold air intake
*Re-upholstered interior. two tone leather gray w/ black inserts
*Alpine CDA-9857 head unit with XM radio and Ipod adapter and bluetooth.
*Punch P3 with kenwood 1,200W amp tweeters and 6X9
*Momo steering wheel and matching shifter
*Gauge pod (ashtray deleted) w/ oil temp and voltage gauges.

other upgrades done but can't remember them right off the top of my head.

Does 4,000 ound like a fair price. FYI the car ble books at $4,800

Nice list of mods. I would try and sell it for more, atleast $5k. How do you like the Supersprint header? Would you part it if you are selling yoru car?

It doesn't need park distance control, and hates decadence. It is musclepacked, yet lightly wound. It lets you feel the asphalt and get you going with the smallest touch of the pedal. It provokes, seduces, and demands to be driven hard. It looks, sounds, and smells like performance.

headers are awesome. a little low end gain but nothing impressive. I rather sell the whole car since I dont have the time to part it. and 5,000 is more like what i was thinking

I'm not just going to take the first lowball offer. I already sold my M3 and got 17,000 for that one. first offer for the M3 was 12,000. I just want to save money and buy a house when I get back. If I find a good looking 332ti when I get back I might think about it but not a priority. I leave in 27 days.

27 days is not alot of time. It took me almost 3 months but I just sold mine for $8k. I'm sure you could get the same for yours. Maybe your wife can sell it for you?

Good luck with everything and GOD BLESS!!

I'm headed toTal-Afar, FOB Seitz. I might keep it and have my Step-dad take care of it for me. I just know that I'll lose money if I let it go for only 4K. Let me know when you get there cause I'll still be there until Sep. 08

Thats September, 2008. No, I cant just say: "Sir, F**k you I'm not going cause its too long" Thats mu=y job and I guess I'll do what I gotta do. Yes I do believe that our deployments should be shortened but there's nothing I can do about that but fill out the survey after I get back. Hey, at least I'm tax exempt for 2008!
