I looked all over the freaking car and went inside bumper and what not. What i did came around was a ripped wire. So im guessing thats it. Does anyone know where i can get the plug in part to attach it with the wire thats hanging? The plug in part must be yellow i think to fit witht he actual sensor part. TIA. (i dont need the sensor, i need the plug in part that goes with the wire) | | | 05-10-2006, 12:28 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: çî†ÿ øf åNgëL§, CA Posts: 5,314 | buump | | | 05-10-2006, 01:24 AM | #3 | doesn't care about you. What does the actual sensor look like now? How long have you been driving the car like this? There are various plugs for OBD2 cars, here are some common plugs for you to look at... IIRC the one on my car is a three-wire triangular plug, I can't seem to find a diagram on realoem right now... | | | 05-10-2006, 04:01 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: Berkeley, CA Posts: 411 | Well I have a unplugged plug at the passenger headlights that I have no clue what it's for. __________________ I'm back with a different 95 ti | | | 05-10-2006, 04:05 AM | #6 | doesn't care about you. It's not the air intake temp sensor, that ones VERY important. This is the best I can do: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...=62&fg=05&hl=2 My sensor went out a while ago, now it's always -40 outside. __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | 05-10-2006, 06:05 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: çî†ÿ øf åNgëL§, CA Posts: 5,314 | yes exactly, i got that right now. But i need the wire to connect that piece too. That other part to connect with it ripped off. So i need some of the wire to the point where i can connect it to. Get what i mean? I have that piece, i just need the other half to connect it inside. So i can just connect the cables together. | | | 05-10-2006, 06:24 PM | #9 | doesn't care about you. I use the Bentley manual for things like this, but I'm guessing you don't have one, it's time to pick one up. They are like $50 and you can get one from BavAuto or Pelican. Try the junk yard or ebay for the plug, but I think you'll have troubles finding it. If you can find the plug on realoem, you can call the dealership and see what the plug costs. I would make sure you have the correct wire before spending the money on a new plug. Good luck. __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | 05-14-2006, 12:07 AM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: çî†ÿ øf åNgëL§, CA Posts: 5,314 | i went to bmw parts.
