Default Door problems!!

I was working on my window yesterday cause it feel down into the door(my 318 is my beater car), after i fixed that and put the panel back on, the door wouldnt shut. i checked the latch and it looked like it should latch on to the interior rod(whatever you call it), but it wouldnt. when i pull the handle with the door open, it feels as if there is some "springiness" missing compared to the passenger side handle. also, i cant lock the doors with my key now. it's like something is jamming it. any suggestions? anyone have a schematic or something i could look at to help me trouble shoot? thanks.

you need to reset the latch !

look on the latch part on the trailing edge of the door. in the latch there will be a small plastic "button" looking thing

Press that in and the latch should sping to the open position!
