Default The Brembo Saga

So I've got a set of OEM brembos from a Mitsubishi EVO, and I intend on getting them installed on my car. I have the connections to get this done, but I do have a few questions I was wondering if you Ti guys could help me with.

Front:

I'm planning on using E36 M3 or E46 330i rotors and fabricating a bracket for the calipers. I just need to source the calipers, lines and I have a fab guy for the brackets.

Rear:

I don't know what interchangibility I have with other rotors on the rear. Am I limited to Z3 rears or are there other BMW's with similar hubs? Change out the trailing arms? I don't want to just get the custom rear rotors from stoptech because I like having a parking brake.

Master Cylinder:

I'll be using either an E36 M3 M.C. or something proprietary. If I can't get the balance right, I'll have to go to tilton and see what they can't work out.

I'll post some pictures when the calipers get here.

I'll also have a few sets made of the Brackets for anyone that's interested.

I'm working with a fabricator to get these working on an M3. Simpler setup. Closer on the bias without having to do anything drastic...

I have someone coming out this weekend..

You have Brembos but need the calipers? I'm confused as to what you actually have.

Also, I think it's overkill. Good pads and fresh fluid are usually good enough.

+1 wtf? You said you got a set of OEM Brembos from an EVO, and you're planning on running e36 M3 or e46 330 rotors, but you need to source the calipers? So what exactly do you have from the EVO then? I also have to agree with aceyx on it being overkill. Unless you're putting down 200, stockies with good pads and fresh fluid are fine. It's not the size of the rotors that makes the difference, it's the size of the calipers. You're gonna have to run atleast 17" wheels to clear the bigass 6 piston calipers and unless you're running SS brake lines and a bigger MC, they're not going to work properly. The bias is going to be significantly off, unless you upgrade rears as well. That's where the problems occur. We're pretty limited with our rear brakes because of the suspension. You might be able to get M Coupe or Z3 calipers to work. Either way, I'm interested to hear how this works out for you and I wish you the best of luck. Keep us updated.

Yeah, I dont think its worth the headache of fabricating anything.
