I know it's been a very long time since I've posted on the forum. To make a long story short, I sold my car a long time ago, to another member on the board. I still come around every now and then to read about what you guys are up to. It's nice to see what projects you guys have been working on. I will admit that I miss the ti.......but I had my reasons for selling her, and I can say is that I hope the new owner is taking good care of her. So what have you guys been up to? -Juni __________________ "Power Rules, Smooth is Fast, Late Brake if you HAVE TO, But Always get the Inside Line.......and Fear No One." | | | 12-31-2006, 03:28 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Quote: Originally Posted by Juni So what have you guys been up to? | This seems to be very common with ti owners. The yahoo list is the same way. After their is sold, you still remain part of the community. My ti needs a lot of work to be ready for spring. - Oil leak near the oil filter housing (I think)
- Shift lever is not centered, probably a spring in the tranny
- Clutch is starting to slip
- Reinstall my H&R Race Spring
- Buy new Koni adjustables
- New RA1s
We'll see what actually gets done. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 12-31-2006, 08:07 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: 43609 Posts: 3,425 | I put in a new motor this past weekend after cyl.3 on the old motor spun a bearing and bent valves. 200k motor has been put out to the pasture. __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | 01-01-2007, 03:59 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: çî†ÿ øf åNgëL§, CA Posts: 5,314 | if you even care, i SC'd my TI. | | | 01-01-2007, 10:13 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Clearwater, Florida Posts: 153 | Sc'd??? | | | 01-01-2007, 02:32 PM | #6 | Site Moderator Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Naples, Florida Posts: 238 | Quote: Originally Posted by Juni Hey guys hows it going? Too bad you had to sell the Ti. What car did you get now? Quote: Originally Posted by 1996 328ti This seems to be very common with ti owners. The yahoo list is the same way. I thought it was time for a change after the accident. __________________ Nick 1995 BMW 318iC. First off, happy new year! To Hugo: Yes, I did notice that your SC'd your car awhile ago right? How's it running? To Shaggy: Even though I never really spoke to you, thank you for the compliment on my old ti! I would like the new owner to post more, but I think I'll leave that up to him. I did get a new lil project car/winter beater. It's a 96 Honda Prelude w/JDM H22A and a couple lil JDM tidbits. Its a nice lil car......definetly quicker than the ti. But not even in the same league as far refinement, handling, or style......but then again it's a type of car. To Bluebimma: Im sorry to hear that your engine blew, but nice to know that you got a new one. I always check the forums regularly, so if I can answer any questions to folks please just let me know. BTW KEN.......when we gonna meet up so that i can get you those spare ti parts? Let me know. -Juni __________________ "Power Rules, Smooth is Fast, Late Brake if you HAVE TO, But Always get the Inside Line.......and Fear No One." | | | 01-02-2007, 04:32 AM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: Great White North! Posts: 701 | Hey Juni, Happy New Year! Health and happiness in '07. It's nice to hear that all is well. Was it you that came up to Bavauto's S 'n S? I know I saw your car parked at a BK on Route I as I was leaving the show. I tried to swing around to stop and chat, but then I saw your car at an intersection and tried to wave the driver (you?) down, but no success. __________________ Engine: 2.1L Hartge conversion (bored to 86X91mm, ported & polished head, new valves, new crank, & upgraded ECU), Supersprint SS headers, Hartge exhaust, custom cat bypass (track), KV85 wires, Bosch platinum plugs, Vitesse cf spark plug cover, Vitesse cf CAI, Samco hoses, Fiamm air horns.
