In addition to the full range of other 1-series engines, they may eventually put the S54 engine in it and call it the M2...now THAT would be a hot setup!!! | | | 08-14-2006, 12:35 AM | #22 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Quote: Originally Posted by Budget M3 On a related front...there is word that the 1-series coupe is finally going to be released later this year. I guess I need to replace my FIRST 1 license plate for FIRST 2. Then again, An M2 will be ridiculously priced. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 08-14-2006, 01:06 AM | #23 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: Quad Cities, Iowa Posts: 2,110 | Quote: Originally Posted by 1996 328ti That was rumored a couple years ago. Hopefully theyll make a 1 series avalible that would be close to that kind of performance with out the M pricing. __________________ "Drive Fast and Take Chances" | | | 08-14-2006, 01:43 AM | #24 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2006 Location: Weymouth, MA Posts: 215 | 1 series When I was at the local BMW dealer to pick up a part, I asked one of the salesman when the 1 series will come to US. He told me they should go together with mercedes smart, so not earlier than spring-summer 2007 which is not bad. A year from now. I also asked him about diesel BMW (120d for example), but he was doubt that the diesel would ever reach the US coast. The price of 1 series would be about 25,000 which is almost the same as brand new ti years ago. So my next car would be 1 series, if not 120d diesel then may be 120i or 130i stick for sure... Check those cars. I believe nobody has seen any of them here in US http://tonyspchelp.com/206.jpg http://tonyspchelp.com/307.jpg http://tonyspchelp.com/407.jpg http://tonyspchelp.com/407coup.jpg http://tonyspchelp.com/607.jpg Tell me what do you think about them and which one fits to your style | | | 08-14-2006, 02:10 AM | #25 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: Quad Cities, Iowa Posts: 2,110 | Why would you want french crap? Their quality worse then americans. How many french cars do you see on the road today? Not many. Most have rusted out to the point that they cant be driven or they have broken down mechanically. The only french car I would ever consider driving is the renault clio. __________________ "Drive Fast and Take Chances" | | | 08-14-2006, 02:14 AM | #26 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Minneapolis Posts: 1,587 | I think even a 118d M-Sport would be awesome. Acceleration is just slightly slower than a 318tiA, but 52 USmpg! The handling is probably better than any other stock BMW out there too. | | | 08-14-2006, 02:17 AM | #27 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2006 Location: Weymouth, MA Posts: 215 | Quote: Originally Posted by SDKmann Why would you want french crap? The last french import in US I believe was in 1989-90. I have seen few 88-89 Peugeouts 405 around here, but they are very rare | | | 08-14-2006, 03:52 AM | #28 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: Canada Posts: 182 | I'm getting a 'yota truck, I need it for what I do, the TI is too nice to give up, but im going to be listing it super soon. | | | 08-14-2006, 04:33 AM | #29 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Saint Paul, MN Posts: 3,244 | e46 sport wagon MZ3 coupe Z4 coupe and...wait for it... a Chevy HHR, Black+black with satin trim and new wheels. Yes, laugh laugh laugh. I would too but i had a very positive rental experience with one a few weeks ago. Nice car for 20g's new but not sure how long it would last in the real world. Plus Chevys hold their value like used kleenex. __________________ My Former Rides 1999 318ti Alpine White, Cali Roof, Dinan goodies 1996 318ti Hellrot California Edition | | | 08-14-2006, 05:18 AM | #30 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2006 Location: Westfield, IN Posts: 1,335 | i like the new GLIs or the GTIs maybe a 04 GLI if possible a Z4 M Roadster or Z4 3.0i!! __________________ Greg M42 Club member 186 WTB: HELLROT RED CLUB SPORT 95 ti sold but staying in the family. | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
