I know of a turbo motor that did the same thing and I am wondering if it is a boost related failure or a weakness we all should be aware of. Thanks, Dave | I've got 110K miles on my M44 and I can here the DISA rattle at idle sometimes. I took it out to have a look at it but without a new one to compare it to for wear it's hard to tell if it's on it's way out. Going to bite the bullet and put a new one in.....ouch | | | 12-10-2011, 03:09 PM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Gulfport, Florida Posts: 3,208 | Quote: Originally Posted by urbanmisfit I've got 110K miles on my M44 and I can here the DISA rattle at idle sometimes. Always remove the DISA on a boosted motor since I'm confident they will always break the DISA. Non-boosted it is rare they break | | | 12-12-2011, 10:15 PM | #15 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2009 Location: MD/PA/DC Posts: 1,629 | Yeah, but they rattle like crazy. Eventually that brass will wear out and drop the arm. I've been too lazy/busy to actually do anything about it though. __________________ No more ti. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Thread Tools | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
