I think it will give people more time to get projects done. I won't have anything to put in the show but It's always worth going to. I'm sure next year will be a larger turnout.

Got my horn button in. I wish I had more updates but my MK3 was giving me problems the whole week and I couldn't get to the shop. Tomorrow I am hoping to start pulling the motor finally.

My wheels may be sold today so I can buy my next set and start building them. I got out to the shop this weekend and got the motor about ready to pull. I removed the fuel lines and the line to the slave cylinder. I also removed the nuts for the motor mounts. All I have left is the trands crossmember and the exhaust. Is there any little tricky wires that I may have missed? I want to be able to pull it out nice and clean without any snags=)
I also have some parts arriving in the mail, and some others have already arrived for a secret project that I am working on. Hopefully I have more pictures soon and more progress to post=P

Selling my wheels fell through=/ Still trying to sell them. More parts arrived for the secret project, and yet again I'm hoping to get the motor out this weekend. The harness has been holding me up. I cannot find where to detach it from the body. It leaks to the fusebox and goes underneath. I took the upper section off, but need to pop the relays off the side for me to gain access to the box. I also might be selling my horrible garbage MK3 daily and picking up a 92 325is=) That'll definitely be more reliable and fun. Hopefully a good update here soon.

I finally got the motor out yesterday=)

Here is how I hooked up the hoist:


It sucked trying to get the trans up enough to pull out. I had to be almost vertical. I also had to remove the brace before the frame rails.



I also used my spot weld bit to drill off all the brackets. The battery tray will come out when I remove the seam sealer.



The lighting was horrible in the shop, but I didn't care about fancy pictures at the time=) I'll need to get a nice camera instead of using my phone.
More shaving and miscellaneous other things to come on Saturday

I just placed my order for my subframe, trailing arm, and diff bushings from Silver Project. I got 75sha so that I don't knock my teeth out driving down the road=)

I finally got some work done. Friday I went to the shop and removed the battery tray. I then had a go with removing some of the seam sealer.

Here it is:

You can see some seam sealer was removed there too. I only had an hour to spend at the shop so I didn't get much more done.

I then thought about how my Recaro Trophies would be great in the car, but they're not black=(


They're mint. Only one cigarette burn on the passenger side.


Back to the engine bay. I went back yesterday, and removed the rest of the sealer I could get with the drill and wire cup. I also got rid of the ABS.

Next weekend I should be able to get a majority of the rest of the seam sealer out. I really need to pick up the pace to get this all done by June.

Hi guys I just registered to the forum and It looks like it can be very helpful I am about to do an m52 motor swap in my 97 ti and wanted to talk to someone about ews2 delete chips or wiring deletes(saw on google and YouTube-splicing a few wires cuts out the system entire system??) I don't really want to deal with my dealer due to $$$ and towing
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

Quick Update:

I got out to the shop Saturday for a little bit and ended up getting the brake booster out, as well as getting the fusebox unbolted. No I need to get some sire bundles free under the dash, to give me enough slack to pull the box up and out. I'll get some pictures on Wednesday hopefully.

I have some somewhat good news about wheels too. I might be building two sets for the car now. I can get a sweet deal on some OZ Breytons from the homeland=)
I'm either going to build them wider, or flip them. Here is a picture of them for those who do not know what they look like:



They're pretty rare, but I have seen them on a few e36's. I've always had a soft spot for them=P We will see what happens.

Im shaving the bay. Getting rid of everything that I deem ugly or uneccessary.
Also, most people post their build threads in the lounge. This happens to be my build thread.
