Default Car Stalls on Start Up...

Just recently, since it has started getting cold at night between 30-50 degrees, my car has had really rough starts. When I start it up, it will turn over, but then stall out immediately. I immediately turn the key again and it turns right over? Any ideas on what could be causing this problem.... I just had a bunch of work done back in January, and service check II done. I had the starter replaced between 30,000 and 50,000 miles, it now has 94,500 miles.

On another note, My car has also started making a noise that seems to be synced up with how fast I am going (gets louder and faster as I accelerate). It only does for about 30 seconds, maybe a little longer until the car warms up a bit and then goes away. The noise is hard to explain, but you hear the noise as if it coming through the front vents.... it kind of sounds like it maybe hydrualic sounding or maybe it is something that is controlled by the main belt (water pump or something like that).....

Not sure if these are linked in anyway.... I have never flushed my transmission BMW says it is a lifetime fluid.... That is what my mechanic says also....

The noise you are hearing could be your secondary air pump. It runs when you start the car to help light the cat.converter.

I had a similar problem with my car stalling, it was the Cam Positition Sensor.

(dustent) I already had my cam shaft sensor replaced back in January.... that really sucked. I would just be driving and the car would die.... I hope it isn't the same thing... Last time when that happened my check engine light came on though. Is the secondary air pump difficult or costly to replace/repair.... your car looks sweet by the way....
