Does any one have for sale or know where to get an affordable dove gray glove box door for a '98 318ti? I have tried ordering new parts and rebuilding it but haven't had much luck.
The latch is broken but one of the two male prongs at the bottom of the door upon which the glove box attaches to and pivots from the dash is broken. I ordered a new latch and couldnt get that to work and I then ordered a new cover (which has the 2 prongs) and that required an intricate (to me) spring attachment. I am going to try rigging up the spring but don't have much faith in my abilities and would like to a get a new/used complete door.
Alright. I had the same failure with the hinges on the handle, used a piece of an old credit card to fix it. I'll see if I can pull it apart to take pictures. I know this has come up once before.
