Default Selling 318ti

Alright, I will be leaving for graduate school in July/August and I can't take my car with me. So....it is with great sadness that I must start thinking of selling the car.

Now, my question for you is: What sorts of things should I do to increase the resale value of the car?

I mean, I am rebuilding the cooling system this weekend. I will fix that oil filter housing leak as well. The car had Inspection II at 100,000 miles and it currently has 117000 on it. It will probably have about 122k when I sell it. The car has perfect maintenance records. great condition car.

My thinking lies in that if I fix the major maintenance bugs now it would save the future owner a lot of time and frustration later?

Any advice? I am thinking of asking 4700 but that could probably be whittled down to 4400 - 4300.

Yes, this car is my baby. I wouldn't sell it unless fate forces my hand; but what is more important? Grad school or a car? I pick grad school.

I will start posting for sale ads probably sometime in May/June/July. So, if you are interested post here and I will keep your contact info.

Tony, I'll take your car and put it in my garage when you leave for school, I'll drive it occasionally so it won't break or anything like that, that's what I do when I put my car in storage.

Hi Greg,

I really appreciate your offer however I don't know how to proceed at this point in time. For all I know I might get a job offer abroad which will leave me with unnecessary logistics to take care of back here.

Thanks again,
Tony

P.S. I will keep your offer in mind though.

Scotland my friend.

I will tell you more about it if you are interested during one of the weekly meet ups. I have been meaning to go but for the past two times I had things pop up at the last minute.
