Default Interior temp. Fan.

Hey all, My Heater / Air conditioning fan ONLY works on High.

So Numbers 1,2,and 3 do not turn the fan at all, the dealership sold me
a fan relay,or resistor ?! Its a Plastic, and metal piece that looks like
a triangle, it has a place to plug a connector into it.

The stealorship said I could take off the drivers side under part of the dash and just PLUG this thing in in place of the old one, well I spent about 6 hours looking for this piece, I pulled off the drivers side, passenger side, and the radio bezel, but can not find the part.

There is a Black piece that looks like a BOX, it is small right by the passenger side and it unpluggs, is is made by the same company, so I called BMW w/ that part #, and they assured me that they sold me the correct part, that the little black box is for the a/c ??

They said they did not have a diagram on this piece but its right by the blower fan, or somewhere near it, I can see the blower fan (a little bit) and see it turn when the fan is on high, but Cn not find Anything that looks like the partt, then again its a MESS back and up in there, Tons of wires....

Should I just bring it to the shop ?!?

Thanks for any help....
