Default CALIFORNIA SUNROOF - MOTOR - BROKEN!!!

I love my car and i just got it a nice little tuneup - new sparkplugs - the works. Both windows are still jacked up but work...for now. I was wondering if anyone else's california sunroof is BROKEN. The motor just gave out one day. I took it back to the dealer and they charged me $400 JUST TO CLOSE IT. UGH. I asked them for a quote and they said that they would probably have to replace the entire unit including the motor. I asked them how much and they said it would take a lot of time and labor. The quote.. $3,000! Has anyone else had their california sunroof repaired? Does anyone have any other advice for me? I have had so much repair work done to this car -- the catalytic convereter has been replaced, the transmission rebuilt, both windows are broken, the SRS light is messed up, the engine mounts replaced... ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY appreciated. I want to keep this car for a very very very very long time but the costs are KILLING me. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced the same with the roof!!!

Thanks!
