The Ti will help you out with gas, well at least when compared to that jeep you got there. | | | 08-02-2008, 09:29 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | great deal, the only flaw I can see is the automatic, but since you were looking for that, I'd say it's perfect | | | 08-04-2008, 03:47 AM | #7 | Member Join Date: Jul 2008 Location: Kernersville, NC Posts: 53 | yup, needed an auto for health-related reasons... but thanks picked it up today... car looks good, but needs some minor help. 1) exhaust leak. figure I'll get it welded @ the same time the ti goes for a state inspection. 2) drivers side inside door panel needs replacing... some of the clips broke/came loose & the previous owner ghetto-rigged it by placing about 10 horrendous looking screws through it. 3) someone broke the antenna off... doesn't look easy to remove the remnants to replace. any ideas where to get a new door panel? thoughts on the antenna? i'll get photos tomorrow. aside from that it's pretty pimp. the mods will begin soon. | | | 08-04-2008, 05:10 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2007 Location: Rocky Hill, CT Posts: 1,065 | Quote: Originally Posted by scott pruett yup, needed an auto for health-related reasons... but thanks picked it up today... car looks good, but needs some minor help. 1) exhaust leak. figure I'll get it welded @ the same time the ti goes for a state inspection. 2) drivers side inside door panel needs replacing... some of the clips broke/came loose & the previous owner ghetto-rigged it by placing about 10 horrendous looking screws through it. 3) someone broke the antenna off... doesn't look easy to remove the remnants to replace. any ideas where to get a new door panel? thoughts on the antenna? i'll get photos tomorrow. aside from that it's pretty pimp. the mods will begin soon. | keep an eye out here/bimmerforums.com for a door panel. They are TI specific, so you're going to have to hunt. I got lucky to find a nice pair locally. As for the antenna, AFAIK they are all just screw in screw out, with a grommet around them to stop the rain from getting in. Mine just screws right out by hand, I think they're all the same. __________________ 1995 318TI base. 95 2.5L from 325IS. S50 cams+pistons, e36 M3 front brakes. H&R race springs F+R. I'll post other threads later, but here are pics... 96cali - good thoughts. mohaughn - check these out: will the antenna work here or do i need something else, as the previous owner f'ed this up w/ glue/etc? | | | 08-04-2008, 08:41 PM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Florida Posts: 2,525 | Yeah, it should work, you'll just need a new grommet. You'll have to remove the old grommet/glue get that all cleaned up, then the new base/grommet just pushes up from the bottom. | | | 08-04-2008, 08:56 PM | #13 | Member Join Date: Jul 2008 Location: Kernersville, NC Posts: 53 | cool.
