Default My Ti got jacked!

So some big dumb idiot decided to break into my Ti the other night. It was parked in a parking garage up here at school, and I had left my sunroof tilted up since it's a covered spot.

Anyway, I guess some drunk/stupid/heartless A-hole decided it would be a good idea to yank my whole damn sunroof off, stomp my parking break to all hell while climbing in (it won't even engage anymore), and steal my Alpine CD/MP3 player right out of my dash. He/she/it was even nice enough to leave a couple of nice dents on my roof.

Looking back now, I guess it was kinda stupid for me to leave the sunroof tilted and not arm the anti-theft. The spot is a couple blocks away from my apartment, so I wouldn't have heard the alarm going off anyway. But still...

Anyhow, I'm now in the process of working with insurance and a local body shop in getting it fixed and getting my stereo replaced. I just really wanted to vent, since I'm just starting to realize how ticked off I am about all this.

Does anyone else have any stories similar to this one?

Nothings happened with my Ti, but my Ford has been broken into 3 times in front of my apartment. Each hit was progressively worse. They tossed my car---and yanked the radio out of my dash ripping out some wiring which illuminated the climate control...still haven't fixed that, because the fan controller is a pain in the butt to reinstall and I don't know if I could even locate the wiring harness that the loose wires connect to.

Is it possible that there's any video footage?
Itsucks.

Nothing's like that has happened to me. Happened to an ex of mine though. Someone busted up her passenger side door (after demolishing the window) to steal several hundred dollars in college text books. Not like she was even parked at her school, it happened in front of her house.

Anyways, hope that SOB scraped himself on your sunroof and isn't up to date on his tetanus shots and gets all kinds of crazy lock jaw and that your insurance treats you well!

Sorry to hear your ti got burgled.

Almost would have been better to leave it unlocked!

At least you have insurance - good luck.

About 1 year ago I was up late and kept getting a motion light on my security video screen so I started watching it and saw some shoes by the back of my car.

I immediately went into rambo mode and had the gun safe open in 15 seconds. F the Tech-9 with lazer scope and I had 9 guns to pick from but I grabbed the 12-gauge breach with 00 and ambushed that Fcuker.

It was only my 20 something flunky neighbor 4 houses down trying to sleep off the buzz instead of face his parents. I made him move down two houses

Next morning I found his belt under my car so I gave it back to him about 3 days later when he was walking up the road. He didn't remember a thing so I told him I found him naked under my car and took pictures of him and was going to post it on the net if he didn't mow my lawn for 1 year. He told me to f-off pervert...

Too bad I didn't have any pictures

About 2.5 years ago before we have video security someone tried to steal my wifes minivan. It was unlocked. They broke out the ignition and only needed a screw driver to start it.

Car never left and noting was taken from the car. Had Alpine sterio, 12 disk changer, 2-10" LCD's, DVD, Xbox w/20+ games.

Only thing I can figure is they got spooked.

I've always been lucky here were we live, only thing stolen was a broken boom box from our pool area before we fenced it in and I know exactly who did it so I went to his house and grabbed a 20 foot fibre-glass ladder in exchange. He had a choice of whoop A$$ or ladder...He took ladder and never called the police on me. Still have that ladder and use it all the time to trim trees

Neighborhood watch must love you. There is a part of me which wants to pistol whip the kid who broke into my car, should I find him.

Sorry to hear bout yor car getting jacked! If the damage is that severe be very aware if your new sunroof does not track well. Don't accept less than perfect.

man, I'm surprised whatever crackhead decided to do that had the strength to rip out a sunroof panel, doubt you'll be able to find him so hopefully the insurance company treats you good
