The insurance company sent out a repairman and replaced the windshield and now the rain sensor does not work. The repair guy has been back three times and the rain sensor still doesn't work. Frustraiting all around. I called the BMW dealer and he could see me on June 26th. Anybody have trouble with the rain sensor and what was the fiix? | | | 06-06-2006, 12:18 AM | #2 | doesn't care about you. The "work around" would be to do by hand. __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | 06-06-2006, 12:19 AM | #3 | TRETEN IRGENDEINES ESELS Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Rhode Island Posts: 3,687 | The 318ti's in the US don't have rain sensors. Have you asked this on another forum yet since this is a 318ti sight and not a 328i sight? Sorry i have no clue on this. __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 06-06-2006, 12:25 AM | #4 | Junior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Posts: 3 | Quote: Originally Posted by DustenT I'm pretty sure the 318ti's don't have auto rain sensing wipers. No... Its with the rain, I can be stopped and its raining hard and they will go fast... Or I can be going fast and they wil go slow (on there own) As long as its on the middle speed on the lever they will adjust them selves.. Explain that !! | | | 06-06-2006, 01:52 AM | #8 | TRETEN IRGENDEINES ESELS Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Rhode Island Posts: 3,687 | Quote: Originally Posted by first_bmw My 318ti doesn't have a rain sensor, But it is funny how my wipers speed up and slow down with the rain (or maybe with the accelleration?) Did you take some hits from the when this happend? I know if you have your wipers on the second speed or tird when you stop at a red light they stop. Then when you start moving again they go back to it's normal function. __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 06-06-2006, 01:56 AM | #9 | doesn't care about you.
