Default Solved my erratic Speedometer readings

Just thought I would share my findings on this. I have been experiencing on-and-off problems with my speedometer needle moving around erratically. During my E30 Diff conversion (more on that later) I found the sending wire, had fallen out of a wire tie above the passenger half shaft.

As a result, the wire was laying on the half shaft and was worn half way through. It appears that the wire was riding on the metal section of the half shaft resulting in my erratic speedo due to grounding. There was also wear markings on the inner CV boot which makes total sense. When the wire was riding on the rubber boot, the speedo was fine, when I would hit a bump and the wire moved to the metal section, the speedo went all nuts.

Just one of those odd things I guess.
