I am trying to stiffen up the rear to make the car rotate better while autocrossing. | | | 09-16-2015, 01:09 AM | #20 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | Yeah I used them in the rear. These are a bit shorter than the tck shorty rear springs so you can get a pair of 2.25" perches and run them in the rear. Or you could stack spring pads if you wanted. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 09-16-2015, 03:27 PM | #21 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2010 Location: Horseheads, NY Posts: 259 | I'm not quite sure thats the way I want to go. I am trying to decide if we want to go back to the street class. We have been running STX all season and taking a beating in class and in PAX. With the ti going to H Street this season, I am thinking it might be more prudent for us to return the car to the street specs. | | | 09-16-2015, 11:40 PM | #22 | Junior Member Join Date: Sep 2015 Location: Oswego illinois Posts: 7 | Door panels? | | | 09-18-2015, 04:00 PM | #23 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | It's all good Joe, no pressure. Door panels are still attached to the doors. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 09-18-2015, 08:57 PM | #24 | Junior Member Join Date: Sep 2015 Location: Oswego illinois Posts: 7 | Do you want them? Not to sure what I would need to do if I were to buy these off of you.. I'm in need of a suspension overhaul lol. | | | 02-20-2016, 05:49 PM | #28 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | Just need to buy the lower perches from ground control and then get a pair 2.5" springs of your preferred rate/length. I was using 400lb/5" springs and they worked pretty well with the bilsteins. The higher spring rate really suits the bilstein nicely, nothing wrong with the struts I just went to a different setup on my Z3. This is an easy way to give you front ride height adjustability. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 02-20-2016, 06:35 PM | #29 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2013 Location: Virginia Posts: 104 | I think I'll have to pass, a little pricey for myself at the moment. I was thinking of going with some hottuning coilovers for the time being until I get another job and such because I seen the reviews were kinda hit or miss. I realize it's one of those "you pay for what you get" situations but anything's better than a shot suspension at this point.. | | | 03-03-2016, 03:43 AM | #30 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | Bunch of "new" parts added to first post. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
