My question is can I replace the cam without removing the timing chain and tensioner in order to replace it? The timing is still correct and I know I was coasting into a parking lot when the car stalled so it has a better chance of not bending valves. But the timing does have to be reset but they usually tear up the journal where they break, and if its a m44 then the journals are built into the head.
