I just put Vogtland springs on my ti and love them, nice drop while maintaining a decent ride, not a good track spring, but great for street. What do you mean by facia? __________________ 1988 M3 Track rat - 1989 325iC - 1998 318ti | | | 10-06-2007, 05:05 AM | #3 | Moderator Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: SoCal318ti Posts: 1,574 | Quote: Originally Posted by brodee H&R sports are great all around street spring, H&R race are a little lower and stiffer. What do you mean by facia? | I think he means front bumper and the only company that I know that makes a good one is MASHAW. | | | 10-09-2007, 02:24 AM | #4 | Junior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: Watertown, Wisconsin Posts: 12 | im not really sure on the "terminolgy" of a facia.. but my front clip is fine.. its the little skirt thing that goes below the stock bumper. i think that they look nice and sporty somewhat.. i dont know.. __________________ Mike Clark | | | 10-09-2007, 03:49 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: chicago Posts: 172 | you're looking for the lip spoiler. fascia refers to the whole front... i don't know of a cf lip. i guess you can have someone do a cf overlay, but imo it's not really worth it. | | | 10-09-2007, 04:11 AM | #6 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | saintse36 has one, don't know where he got it. __________________ 4 MORE YEARS BABY!!! | | | 10-09-2007, 05:43 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: state college, pa Posts: 3,431 | I've only seen splitters in carbon. Usually needs the lip spoiler first. __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 10-09-2007, 08:09 AM | #8 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | I've seen those too, but saintse36 has a carbon lower lip. It's the same shape and dimensions as the OEM Mtech lip. Looks pretty good, but a little too rich for my blood. I'm going to get a Reiger cup lip. Modbargains raised their price on the Reiger M3 Cup Lip from 199 bucks to $215. But I found it elsewhere for $189. It's designed to mount to the OEM Mtech lip, but I'm going to try to modify it to mount directly to my bumper since my car sits so low. This isn't the cheap ebay fiberglass replica, it's the real deal ABS version made by Reiger. It's also available in carbon, but it cost 280 bucks. Eff that! $189 is more than I wanted to spend, but that's the cheapest I've seen it. | | | 10-09-2007, 11:47 PM | #9 | Junior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: Watertown, Wisconsin Posts: 12 | Thanks jess, how low does your car sit that you want to just modify it to fit directly to the stock bumper? i have yet to lower the front yet, i was thinking 2-3 inches with H&R sport springs.. what did you go with? __________________ Mike Clark | | | 10-09-2007, 11:55 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Florida Posts: 2,525 | Bimmerworld sells a variety of different front lips for both the m-tech and regular e36 bumper... | | | 10-10-2007, 12:10 AM | #11 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | Quote: Originally Posted by Richard Gizinya Thanks jess, how low does your car sit that you want to just modify it to fit directly to the stock bumper? i have yet to lower the front yet, i was thinking 2-3 inches with H&R sport springs.. what did you go with? | Actually the front of my car isn't that low. I'm running H&R Race springs from a Z3. The rear sits nice and low, but the front is probably equal to H&R sports for the Ti. The Reiger lip that I'm looking at mounts to the OEM Mtech lip, which appears to hang down about 3 inches. My front bumper scrapes going out of steep driveways and I'll surely rip the Reiger lip off if I mount it on an OEM lip. There's pics of my car in my gallery, though I've never actually measured the height. The rear is only slightly higher than the front, not all raked out like other Ti's with H&R race springs. Here's a good pic of the lip I'll be getting: | | | 10-10-2007, 12:24 AM | #12 | Junior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: Watertown, Wisconsin Posts: 12 | alright.
