Default Is this a RRFPR?

Hey all, thanks for your replies to my previous question. I got another one now though My second hand DASC came with this fuel pressure regulator:
http://www.bosch-motorsport.com/pdf/...ors/20x120.pdf
Bosch part number B 280 500 714

Now is this a rising rate fuel pressure regulator? Because it quotes '3-6 bar' and I cannot see how you adjust it. So I assume it is, but I dont want to install it and then run the car lean.

Thanks for your help guys

It is an FPR, but not one that came with the DASC. Have you given Jim @ Downing Atlanta a call? He should be able to sell you one. Additionally you could check with the people who installed NickG software and removed it

Hey, thanks for your reply. I asked the guy at DA and he hasnt replied yet. I have worked out that it is not rising rate. It has a vacuum connector so that the pressure in the rail increases at a 1:1 rate. What I therefore need is a rising rate item. I have seen them available from Begi, Vortech etc. Does any one know what ratio I need? I was looking at some numbers poster by DustenT and it seems I need a 6:1 (approx)
With full vacuum (17.5 in/Hg) I have 35psi of fuel pressure.
With zero vacuum (0 in/Hg) I have 65psi of fuel pressure.
With full boost (9 psi) I have 85psi of fuel pressure.
The math: (85-35)/9 = 5.6

Hey mate, thanks for your reply. Jim got back to me (am in England so its a bit difficult to call) and told me that it was his own design of RRFPR and didnt say what rate it was. I dont think it is his own design, it looks exactly the same as the Jackson racing ones the MX-5's have.

I have got a 8:1 ratio RRFPR off ebay, with a bleed valve which can make it 6:1, so I think that should be ok. Might need a little tuning though
