Post MPG Decrease/Increase?

I'm looking to see comments on MPG. Is anyone gaining or loosing Miles Per Gallon with either the Cosmo Short Ram Intake or Cold Air Intake? On Bimmer Forums I've heard conflicting things... just would like to hear some input first.

At the moment I have a stock air box with a K&N filter, Bosch +4 and stock exhaust and I'm getting about 30/31 MPG on the highway driving 70 MPH and 26 in mixed driving. Needless to say I'm happy! I was planning on getting a Cosmo CAI or Short Ram Intake... trying to weigh out the hydrolock problem (I live in Maine and it rains/snows alot). I also plan on putting on this Bosal system I just ordered. I just don't want to loose my precious MPG since I travel so much.

Thanks!

i was getting about 27 before the Cosmo CAI, then it jumped to about 27.5-28, and now with the brosal on i'm getting about 28.5 driving it hard the last few days to see what the brosal can do, so i'm assuming about maybe 29-30

I don't think he was nit-picking, but was just unfamiliar with the aftermarket.

Plus it doesn't show up on a search if it's misspelled.

Well, possibly, but I guess I'm just gettin annoyed at all the people who do nit-pick over stupid crap on the site, and being that I was in a bad mood, just took it as that. my apoplogies if you had no idea.

My record gas mileage was between Hershey, PA and Flint, MI. I made the vast majority of the way on one tank. I can actually make it to southern Metro Detroit on one tank if I drive very conservatively, which I never do.

But anyway, that one trip I got 36-37 mpg. I was shocked. That was 75mph on cruise control for 8 hours with no WOT and two stops.
