Default OEM PIONEER vs OEM ALPINE

I have 95ti with OEM pioneer radio cassette. the cassette is dead and the tuner doesn't illuminate.
I am likely to buy an OEM but I noticed other E36 can use Alpine c33 radio.
so the first question is: will the Alpine c33 fit my 95 ( I think it will )
Second question is: which OEM radio is better, pioneer or alpine?
thanks,
JP

I had the Pioneer in my ti, my dad has the Alpine in his M3, there doesn't seem to be any difference between the two, I'm sure the Alpine would fit but you might have to do some work to the wiring harness, which may not be worth it for a different stock radio

From what I have read both are pretty crappy. If you want good OE go for the C43/CD43.

They both fit. The wiring connections are the same between the two.

If you plan to run the factory CD changer, the Pioneer radio will only communicate with a Pioneer changer, and Alpine radio will only communicate with an Apline changer.

Course everyone uses iPods anyway, but just a heads up.
