The color is called Montrealblau, but HuGo did have it resprayed at one point. Not sure if it was an exact match, but it seemed like it had more "pearl" than the factory color. Congrats on the purchase. The car has some really nice mods. One being a medium case 3.25LSD IIRC, obviously the S52 powerplant, a stromung exhaust, maybe an x-brace and I think it might have a Dinan tune. The car itself has been through some stages. Waaay back in the day, Hugo had some pretty horrific mods. I remember 1 piece headlight/corners, neon underglow lighting, chrome wheels etc. Eventually he outgrew those mods and made some really good progress. The original motor was fitted with a DASC, but it ended up shooting a rod through the block. Then I think it was replaced with another M44 which was killed by hydrolock. Then I went with him to San Ysidro, CA to pick up the S52. At one point the car took on some front end damage when he crashed into a cliff. Can't remember if it was the driver or passenger side, but I do remember only one corner was affected. I seen it after he had it fixed and it looked and drove fine.

Smile color of car

thanks for the info, seems to me that it has something in the paint to make purple in the sun. Try to email him, no answer at this time. Hope someone here could get ahold of him to find out about the paint

Thanks so much
