As previously mentioned I am an amateur with this stuff. I took off the door panel and disconnected the old speaker/tweeter - it has a white plug and play type connection. I then unclipped the speaker from the centre of the housing. The housing itself is impossible to remove so I just took out the speaker to see if my new tweeter would sit in there Ideally I wanted to just put this new tweeter in the old speakers place rather than cut a new hole. Anyway it doenst sit in there properly there but I could get somthing to hold it down... not sure what yet. Is it stupid having the new tweeter underneath the old speaker grill i.e. there will be two grills! My other problem is whichever way I choose, how the hell do I actually connect the DLS tweeter to the white plug from the old tweeter? In trying to do this I removed the white plug as I thought if I exposed the ends of the wires inside I might be able to clip these to the new tweeters wires and job done. Unfortunately the white plug's now broken and worse I managed to cut off one of the ends of the wires that was exposed! (the tiny metal rectangular bit). Any help appreciated.
