I'm also 6'2" and am very comfortable in my car. Also, the seat was a faily good range or adjustability, so it's easy to get yourself into a good driving position. __________________ -Kenny | | | 12-19-2006, 04:25 AM | #3 | Junior Member Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: COLUMBIA S.C. They can be drifted stock. they do good in high speed corners by just overdriving it, but in lower speeds there just is not enough power to carry your speed. I qualifed 12th out of 24 cars at Charlotte in 2004 but would have had no chance in tandems. | | | 12-19-2006, 11:34 AM | #4 | Junior Member Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: Southend on sea, UK Posts: 4 | im not looking for serious drifting, just some fun in the wet. so sure ill be able to get the ass out in either. whats the difference between the earlier engine and the later one? i kmnow the later has a bit more touque, theres not really much difference no?? does either of these wngines have common faults? cheers | | | 12-19-2006, 07:35 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: ipswich Posts: 656 | well the ti has the e30 rear end so will be a bit better to drift prob im only in ipswich i spent ages looking for a nice ti with lowish miles on it check for oil on the engine there are 2 different engines too m42 and m44 both 1.9s __________________ 318TI FOR SALE MESSAGE ME FOR MORE INFORMATION | | | 12-19-2006, 08:02 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Melbourne, Fl/Athens, AL Posts: 393 | The M42 (early engine) is a 1.8 liter, whereas the M44 (late engine) is a 1.9 liter. As you already know, the M44 has a bit more torque but that's it. AS far as I know, there aren't really any common faults with these engines; they're pretty bulletproof. __________________ -Kenny | | | 12-19-2006, 08:10 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2005 Location: Bend, OR Posts: 413 | windows, and the regulators break quite a bit. | | | 12-20-2006, 10:13 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: ipswich Posts: 656 | rear boot lifters are crap too are need upgrading __________________ 318TI FOR SALE MESSAGE ME FOR MORE INFORMATION | | | 12-20-2006, 12:19 PM | #9 | Junior Member Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: Southend on sea, UK Posts: 4 | thanks ill keep u updated on what i get, | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
