M50 Oil Level Sendor in oil pan Just got done rebuilding a 1992 M50 and there is an oil level sensor in the oil pan. The plug end of the sensor is completely destroyed and is not usable so we left it unplugged. Issue is the car will not start. Starter cranks over the motor but no fuel pump relay turning on and no spark. Does anyone know if this oil level sensor in the oil pan has the ability to kill the fuel and spark to save the motor if someone was to try to start the car with no oil in it? I have fuel pressure by jumping the fuel pump relay and no spark so I'm wondering if it is the oil level sendor killing these items or a EWS issue. Also maybe I reversed the cam and crank sensor wiring and that is the issue. Thanks for any help, John Smith |
