I am going to be custom chip tuning my dasc when i install it in a few weeks. I am hoping that someone with a boost gauge could give me boost values for maybe every 1000 rpm. This will greatly help in creating a base map before i start my car for the first time. if you could give me values for several throttle positions (ex 25%, 50% ect.) that would be amazing. | | | 12-21-2009, 05:04 AM | #2 | Member Join Date: Jul 2006 Location: oregon Posts: 83 | Help!!! cant anyone offer some input? | | | 12-21-2009, 05:09 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Florida Posts: 2,525 | I don't think there is a definite boost value for each RPM because there is a bypass valve with the DASC. Anything below a certain throttle position is not going to get you any boost. That is why the MPG is so good with most normal driving with that kit. You would probably be much better off to install the kit with the stock tune, and then get some AFR readings, and if possible, a dyno graph with AFR data and provide that to your tuner. John, Dusten, or any of the guys that are running a DASC will be able to provide much better data, but they haven't chimed in yet. | | | 12-21-2009, 09:00 AM | #4 | Member Join Date: May 2009 Location: Essex, UK Posts: 42 | I think your going to struggle to get any meaningful info of that nature without datalogging. I have a DASC install, but its off the road at present while i re-build the exhaust (not big enough). All i can say is the car starts and runs fine on the standard BMW ecu map, all be it somewhat lean at the top end of the rev range and under peak load. what custom chip / map are you going to be using ? are you burning it yourself ? I was basically looking to just get the boost values at full throtte and an idea of when the bypass valve will start to allow the car to make boost | | | 12-21-2009, 06:20 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Portland Or Posts: 2,666 | Are you close to PDX?
