If after you do all that and still get the errors most likely the CCV valve is bad. I found a big tear in the bellows hose and after I replaced it the car ran fine. After I turboed the car the CCV valve blew from the boost and cause a bad idle. After I fixed the CCV with some older PCV valves the idle was good again. I always try to repair stuff that is free before spending money on parts. Does your idle "Hunt" up/down up/down rpm's? Clean the ICV with TB cleaner and a q-tip and spray out the maf with the TB cleaner. Also be 100% sure you don't have a crack in one of the seams in the Bellows hose or some big vacuum leak. John S | Okay I cleaned the ICV and MAF and I still have the problem I ordered the PCV (CCV) today hopefully that fixes the problem. I noticed the car only idles high when I have it in Park or Neutral but when I put it in drive the idle drops this tends to happen when the car is fully warm. __________________ EURO FRESH | | | 04-12-2015, 05:55 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Gulfport, Florida Posts: 3,208 | Quote: Originally Posted by Ralliart10 Okay I cleaned the ICV and MAF and I still have the problem I ordered the PCV (CCV) today hopefully that fixes the problem. I'd wonder if your MAF is done, a cleaning may not be enough. If you have an aftermarket intake I would lean more in this direction. It'd be nice if you could find another one to slap in dere and test. | | | 04-16-2015, 12:17 AM | #15 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | I had a bad throttle position sensor which had crazy stuff going on when driving, random rpm drop and surge. Definitely make sure its not a vacuum leak. Intake boots, fuel injector air hoses, random vacuum lines, brake booster line, PCV hose, etc. Spray brake cleaner on each one individually, if the idle goes crazy you found the culprit. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
