Default Hellrot or Bright Red for 1996??

I recently picked up a 96 ti with Cali Top. I was planning on ordering touch-up paint and the strut tower paint label says Hellrot. I was looking through a 318ti sales brochure and the only red listed is Bright Red. Where early ti's painted Hellrot instead of the newer Bright Red paint?? (looks bright red to me)

"Hellrot" in German means "Bright Red."
