I was turning left on an intersection when a mexican ( yea yea im mexican too so what i know my mexican people they like their big ass expeditions but not me i had a small ti) anyways the expedition tried to beat the yellow light and BOOOM. no indications of breaking (aka no skid marks from his end) and he was obviously going faster then the 45mph speed limit. i remember seend the ford emblem on his grill a few feet away from me and BOOOM the impact spun my car around several times. and i saw everything in slow mo. passed out completly. i remember then paramedics talking to me and such. then i glance over and saw the other guy out his car wondering what happened. my mom was with me as the passenger and her injuries are pretty severe. i hit my head on the door frame. and was bleeding pretty bad and not to mention my whole left side took the impact. i feel like crap i never felt like this ever in my life. before: After: notice how the impact bent the roof. imagine getting hit by an expedition going 55 or 60 mph luckily he hit the engine bay for the most part. if he would of hit my door i would prolly not be talking to you guys right now | | | 03-31-2009, 09:23 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: çî†ÿ øf åNgëL§, CA Posts: 5,314 | Sheet! | | | 03-31-2009, 09:25 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2004 Location: Long Beach area Posts: 1,189 | Ahhh CRAP that sucks Glad to see that you're OK though, that's the most important part. You were turning left and your car got hit on the left, so was the guy coming from the left? Usually in those left turning accidents they're coming through the intersection from the opposite side of the intersection. __________________ ... ʎɐqǝ uo pɹɐoqʎǝʞ ɐ ʎnq ı ǝɯıʇ ʇsɐן ǝɥʇ sı sıɥʇ | | | 03-31-2009, 02:50 PM | #9 | Z3 Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Usa Posts: 660 | Sorry to hear about your Ti loss, even sorrier that you and mom got hurt. Based on what you said and what happened, the Ti did an amazing job. Would not have been so lucky in a different small car. Heal quick. Hope you and your mom recover fully, keep us posted... The car did what it was designed to do, crumple to absorb impact and protect the passengers. Poor ti, but it did it's job. __________________ James 95 active w/leather interior and sport interior conversion, Vaders, full M-Tech exterior conversion.
