Today I got an M3 MAF and tomorrow I will receive MM injector adapters. I plan to run Lucas 42# injectors which I want to order tonight. Talked to Metric for a while today, and I must say they were the most helpful people I have ever met. They also were very knowledgeable. Just an FYI the adapters are $10 a piece!! | | | 07-12-2010, 07:12 AM | #35 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2009 Location: rockford illinois Posts: 127 | Meth Injection Trans swap in place for next weekend. My next project will be to run meth injection. What all do I need to know about this. I was curious about flow rates people were running. Also I found this website that is really, pretty awesome. I am looking at this kit: http://www.jdmhub.com/index.php?rout...oduct_id=12356 | | | 08-11-2010, 07:01 AM | #36 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2006 Location: Westfield, IN Posts: 1,335 | Hows it going so far?? Did you figure out the rate of meth your going to run? __________________ Greg M42 Club member 186 WTB: HELLROT RED CLUB SPORT 95 ti sold but staying in the family. | | | 08-14-2010, 04:09 AM | #37 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2009 Location: rockford illinois Posts: 127 | It is going a little slow, but pretty well. I haven't installed any meth yet. I just ordered 30# injectors as the 42# injectors were a little large. I am working a good tune now. The car runs and drives great now, just could be better. I have some tidying up to do still. I am hoping to get all the interior put back together over the next month. I am fixing to purchase all new suspension soon.(arms, balljoints bushings, coilovers, etc) | | | 08-28-2010, 02:53 AM | #38 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: Louisiana Posts: 1,093 | pics please of your setup ! __________________ was the 1 an only Bagged Ti on 19's!! | | | 08-28-2010, 04:15 AM | #39 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Gulfport, Florida Posts: 3,208 | ^^I second that^^ | | | 10-27-2010, 03:12 AM | #40 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2009 Location: rockford illinois Posts: 127 | So I had it all together and running. But I noticed their was a great deal of smoke coming out of the exhaust. So I found that I was pressurizing the crankcase, which wouldn't allow oil to return to the pan from the turbo. So I pulled the motor to pull the turbo and redo the bearings and seals as It continued to smoke. I have the motor completely resealed and I adjusted the return line so there is nothing keeping the oil from flowing perfectly. I started it up today and what do you know it still smokes... The smoke doesn't start until the car is almost completely warmed up. It is a very thick white smoke. Any suggestions? Also I will post pictures of the setup when I have it fundamentally set. I highly suggest "JohnBoy's Turbo Build." I just "stickied" it so it should be near the top. __________________ Real men know how to SEARCH! Also it you had a lot of oil in the exhaust you will need to run it for a while to burn that out of there. If there was a cat in there it will take a even longer time to get out that oil. It would take me about 20-30 miles to get it to stop smiking from oil in the exhaust after a oil pressure dump in the exhaust... Also I need to run my oil 1/4 below full on the dip stick or it smokes Sorry about the typos I'm very tired and just worke up from a 24hr sleep Quote: Originally Posted by rcair3d So I had it all together and running. I am going to juts go straight pipe from the turbo. I was thinking 2 1/4" any better suggestions? | | | 10-29-2010, 04:42 AM | #45 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Gulfport, Florida Posts: 3,208 | You need to have your PCV valve provide vacuum during cruising and under boost you want it blocked off and your valve cover to atmosphere to it can breath then it won't blow any oil past the turbo seals. On exhaust > run 3" from turbo back. I run 2 resonators and a 50 series 2 chamber Flowmaster. Maybe 2.5 exhaust with a resonator and a muffler will be good for you since the 2.5" pipe will be not two loud with only 1 resonator and muffler but breath good.
