Default Time for some updates on my POS 323ti xD

some of you guys might know it already but there were some investments made recently so yea......




I got fed up with the paintjob and that stupid and useless antenna on my car, so it got it painted and shaved.

There are also some new suspension modifications.

Below is a complete car description also with all the mods, maybe I forgot something.


Car Type:


*2000 BMW E36 323ti Compact Sport Limited Edition

*M52B25 engine--> 2.5 liter I6 with 170bhp --> dynoed with 203 bhp!

*color is Imola-Rot 2.....for the Compacts only available with the Sport Limited Edition --> got a new paint job in June / July 2011


Basic equipment:

*ASC+T (traction control, can turn it off of course)
*center lock with remote
*rear window wiper
*power windows front
*Fog Lights
*onboard computer
*M-Tech leather steering wheel with Airbag
*Individual black headliner
*openable rear windows
*323ti exclusive anthracite speedo with black gauge rings

Special equipment:

*passenger airbag
*Sidebags for driver/passenger
*power sunroof
*rear window shutter
*velours floormats
*Rearview mirror with automatic dim
*smoker package (I don't smoke!)
*leather armrest
*Sport leather seats (leather only on the flanks and headrest-->pics)
*seat heaters
*Headrests in the fond
*Air condition
*white blinkers

Exclusive Package:

*heated windshield nozzels
*Leather bantling for shiftknob and E-Brake
*car phone (removed)
*PDC (parking distance controller...very usefull!)


Sport Limited Edition:

*Aerodynamic package-->front and rear M-Technic bumper
*M-Technic Venturi sideskirts
*M-Technic mirrors (heated and power adjustable)
*M-Technic moldings
*Doorhandles, M-Technic shiftknob and steering wheel clips in "Alu-Line" finish
*chrome door inlays with "323ti" writing
*short throw shifter
*M-Technic suspension incl sway bars





Modifications:

Engine Mods:


*modified M50B25 air-intake manifold
*remapped OEM ECU for better low end torque and raised rev limiter
*NGK BKR6EQUP Laser Platinum Spark Plugs
*K&N drop-in air filter
*M-Technic oil filler cap
*exhaust by Reuter Motorsport, stainless steel dual muffler 2x70mm and stiffer Z3 2.8 exhaust mounts


Drivetrain:


* Z3 Roadster M short throw shifter -->replaced the stock short shift with it
* PowerFlex 85° Shore polyurethane differential mount bushing
* buffer stop connected to the Z3 ///M x-brace to prevent the engine from tilting and bending the drive shaft = more traction


Suspension mods:

*Bilstein B14 PSS suspension with Nordschleife Setup
*E36 M3 3,2 front strut tower reinforcements
*E46 M3 convertible rear spring strut guide support
*E36 Z3 ///M Roadster X-brace with buffer stop
*H&R 2-way adjustable anti-roll kit (set on soft @ front, hard @ rear)
*beefed up Meyle control arms, wheel suspension joints and wishbone bushings
*Meyle stabilizer links (reinforced)
*Meyle front strut mounts
*Meyle tie rods
*Wiechers Motorsport front steel tower strut bar
*custom built rear steel tower strut bar (Wiechers design)
*5mm spacers from SCC Fahrzeugtechnik on the rear axle
*OEM BMW E36 M3 GT front strut cap nuts (6€ each!!)

Miscellaneous & Body:


*new paintjob in stock and pretty rare Imola Rot 2
*car phone antenna shaved
*car phone removed (got a Bluetooth solution now)
*replaced the OEM foglights with yellow foglights, genuine BMW
*Bluechrome blinker bulbs, genuine BMW
*E36 M3 black front mesh
*E36 M3 front spoiler lip
*E36 M3 GT flaps
*E46 M3 rear gurney spoiler lip
*E36 M3 spacers (connected to the underbody, sit in front of the wheels for less ascending force)
*replaced red coloured diffusor with a black one for better contrast and because the red one got heavily melted :haha:
*black front kidney grill
*new windshield with HUGE blue glare shield
*new front light glass covers
*new steering wheel, refurbished in smooth leather and Alcantara Ultrasuede, ///M-Power colored stitchings
*Cruise Cam headrest camera mount
*Sony HDR-XR105E FullHD Camcorder with e-brake wire remote control and Mindamax wide angle lens

*threw the rear seat bench, dampening material and some other stuff out for saving weight.


I.C.E. :

*Pioneer AVH-P5000DVD Headunit
*Pioneer CD-BTB200 Bluetooth hands free set (hide away unit, using the microphone from the old car phone)
*Custom 2-Way front system by Hertz


Brakes:


*300mm Z3 3.0 Roadster front brakes & rear stock brakes
--> vented rotors in the front, massives in the back.


*Steel flex brake line kit by Fischer Hydraulik


Rims & Tires:

*Continental Sport Contact 3 in 225/45/17 (front & back)

*custom built in Great Britain --> Team Dynamics Motorsport "Pro Race 1.2 S" in Racing flat black and red lip, 3 months delivery time

--> 17x8 , 35mm offset, 9kg each.

M3 strut reinforcements


beefed up bushing detail shots





due to the M3 strut reinforcments the strut's stud bolts got a little short in length, so I wasnt quite sure if the stock nuts were enough to mount the Wiechers front strut safely.....so I got these huge ****ers, cap nuts for ///M-vehicles with the M-Technic strut brace like the limited production M3 GT or M3 Lightweight........they cost 6 € each!! Luckily my brother works at a huge BMW dealer and can provide me with bargain prices:

M-Forum Track Day.....the only non-M is that Z3 Coupe in Part 1, that E30 in Part 2 has an European 3.2 M3 engine and a KW Clubsport suspension...no chance.
