OBC is the computer in the dash, OBD is the engine's diagnostic system, just letting you know

Try a battery reset , if that doesnt work then try holding the buttons in until you get a reaction?

These are only suggestions and are not confirmed repair techniques

Everything I can find about this issue says to disconnect the battery for a hour and that it should be cleared.

I searched google for "bmw obc ppp" and came up with a lot of results.

yeah.. i jsut ran into this problem as well.

i have 2 bmws. the new one i bought had teh PPP displayed. i removed the radio and the clock to install in my old bmw, where teh clock was workign fine. after i installed the old clock in my old car, the thing showed PPP, then i went back to the new bmw, and it works in there.. so now i get this horrible, PPP message that i cant get around.. nothing will reset it, and the clock shows PPP all the time, even when the car is off.. it will kill your battery =/

so you swapped radios between the two cars and the problem moved from one car to the other? try swapping them back and see if that fixes it

kinda of... i changed radios, but its not the first time i have done it. its just the first time i removed the clock. the problem is that i unpluged the clock, and now it tells me PPP. when i plugged it into the other car that said PPP before for a DIFFERENT clock, it works fine now.. it wont work in my new car when it did before, and it now works in the old car where it didnt work before.

is the wiring present for the obc inside the dash, even if you only have a clock in the spot for it ? Id love to get an OBC if it is.
