Default Found this pic on Google

I did a picture search on Google for "318ti" and found this. I'm assuming it's the E46 versios of the ti, anyways, thought ya'll might like to look at it.

Yeah that model came out like 2 years ago,not sure if it ever went on sale in the US. I hate the front of it,i think it looks ugly.

that model never came to these shores unfortunately. BMW needs to produce a new ti and soon that actually comes here. it would be nice to have a larger engine in them too.

Thumbs up

yeah. go check out bmw's site. not bmw - north america (www.bmwusa.com). but their international site (www.bmw.com/generic/com/en/index.html). look at 3-series. compact. you'll see all the e46 ti's and td's that europe has. i'm hoping they'll come back to the states one day in the "near" future.

but refering to your original question. yeah. that's a 318ti at some dealing in europe (germany if i recall correctly). also, if i'm not mistaken, the little hatchback behind it is a 320td ("td" = turbo diesel).

but if i had the money (which...i have nowhere near enough), i wouldn't mind taking a trip to good ol' germany and come home with a new toy. their 325ti looks pretty nice. but i'll keep dreaming for now. and to help me dream, i put this pic as my desktop background a while back...

FWIW cost to federalize a 325ti would be about $10k

I'm not a big fan of the tail lights. Kinda makes it look like an IS300 IMO.

I found out why the ti is not imported in the US - because the ti damages the reputation/image of bmw in america. the sad truth.....damn those yuppies

In the original picture, if you look at the License plate, it says 318i, not 318ti. I just thought I would point that out.

Oh, I understand now. Is the front of the 318i the same as the ti?

So I did a google of 318ti and found this link. I kind of like the roof spoiler they show on this car...

Anyone know what spoiler that is..?

http://www.cgmotorsports.com/media/album11/bmwti_01

This kit is pretty cool, any thoughts on whether this would fit the ti with the M-Technic package?

A Porsche Big Brake conversion kit for the E36 chassis...WTF?

No clue on the spoiler, but the fog should fit since it's it's still an M technic bumper. And as for the brakes, those are cool and all, but I don't know that they would be any cheaper than just buying a BBK made for bimmers.

What's wrong with the IS300?
That was my second choice for a car before landing a great deal on the '97Ti.
Nice power, VERY reliable and nicely appointed perks. Sporty, too.
Almost 10-12k less than a 330I with about the same HP?
