ok, I think I got this stupid issue resolved --- completely by accident. I had a problem with the temperature rising when I was sitting in traffic. Quick investigation showed that the low speed fan was not coming on. To make a long story short, I replaced the temperature switch on the top of the radiator, the electric fan itself and the low speed fan relay. One of those three components happened to have solved my hazzard light when using the A/C issue too. I presume it is either the low speed fan relay, or the temperature switch that controls the fan based on the coolant temperature. ... on a side note, none of those things fixed my overheating issue. The problem ended up being the jacka$$es that last worked on my car not bleeding the coolant system. Essentially, that temperature switch on the top of the radiator was never getting activated because there was no coolant that high in the system. Good luck to you all --- let me know if one of these items fixes your problem too. __________________ David Killion 2006 BMW M Roadster 1998 BMW 318ti 2006 Harley-Davidson Street Glide Last edited by davidkillion; 09-10-2010 at 02:38 PM. |
