You think ill get 200hp outta the dasc? | | | 09-11-2006, 01:07 PM | #317 | Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: South Florida Posts: 36 | This is probably the same reason why the DASC company only offers a FMU instead of new software for its kit. It takes a tremendous amount of R&D to get the software right especially if your going to have it CARB approved. Patience is the name of the game here. __________________ 92 318I : Cosmo CAI . They are doing something with the computer/software right? So does this mean we are getting a chip to put into the computer or something? If it is a chip, is it something we can just plug in ourself and off we drive or does someone special have to do it? | | | 09-15-2006, 04:28 AM | #319 | Junior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Posts: 9 | Like you we've almost lost hope but let me see what i can find out | | | 09-15-2006, 04:45 AM | #320 | Junior Member Join Date: Sep 2005 Location: Valencia, CA Posts: 21 | I really doubt it's dead. They have done quite a bit of R&D and designing to just kill it this late. Give it time guys, I doubt the DASC was put together overnight. | | | 09-16-2006, 09:43 AM | #321 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Europe Posts: 136 | Why you don't put a little pic of the system? it can animate the hopes... | | | 09-17-2006, 03:50 AM | #322 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: çî†ÿ øf åNgëL§, CA Posts: 5,314 | any updates? I had a question about the software, is it something we just plug in, or is it something a professional need to do? | | | 09-17-2006, 06:06 PM | #323 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Europe Posts: 136 | Why don't you release a "stage 0" with a rrfpr as DASC, and then the others 3 or 4 with a ecu flash or piggyback? So the problem now is only fueling? The other parts of the kit are ready? bye | | | 09-20-2006, 01:19 AM | #324 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Indiana Posts: 256 | Check out www.splitsec.com they should have a product that will adress the fueling issues. | | | 09-20-2006, 02:10 AM | #325 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: çî†ÿ øf åNgëL§, CA Posts: 5,314 | my question hasnt been answered | | | 09-20-2006, 02:45 AM | #326 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Portland Or Posts: 2,666 | Quote: Originally Posted by 1996Bmw318TI my question hasnt been answered | The software is the holdup ,,, IE there isn't any yet...... Cuz i keep hearing that dealers have to install or you have to send your ecu. | | | 09-20-2006, 03:17 AM | #328 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2004 Location: Muncie, Indiana Posts: 1,551 | Quote: Originally Posted by 1996Bmw318TI my concern was how is it going to be installed/who does the install. As for install I don't know if you posses the mechanical knowledge to install it so it may be a moot point. I'm sure most BMW mechanics can do the install. | | | 09-20-2006, 03:18 AM | #329 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: çî†ÿ øf åNgëL§, CA Posts: 5,314 | Quote: Originally Posted by AlaskaBlue Since you have an OBD-II car you would just have to have your ecu flashed. I think shark injector is along the same lines. I don't know why this would be any different. So yes that should be a DIY kind of thing. | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
