It doesn't need park distance control, and hates decadence. It is musclepacked, yet lightly wound. It lets you feel the asphalt and get you going with the smallest touch of the pedal. It provokes, seduces, and demands to be driven hard. It looks, sounds, and smells like performance.

This is probably the same reason why the DASC company only offers a FMU instead of new software for its kit. It takes a tremendous amount of R&D to get the software right especially if your going to have it CARB approved. Patience is the name of the game here.

quick question....

They are doing something with the computer/software right? So does this mean we are getting a chip to put into the computer or something? If it is a chip, is it something we can just plug in ourself and off we drive or does someone special have to do it?

I really doubt it's dead. They have done quite a bit of R&D and designing to just kill it this late.

Give it time guys, I doubt the DASC was put together overnight.

any updates? I had a question about the software, is it something we just plug in, or is it something a professional need to do?

Why don't you release a "stage 0" with a rrfpr as DASC, and then the others 3 or 4 with a ecu flash or piggyback?
So the problem now is only fueling?
The other parts of the kit are ready?
bye

my concern was how is it going to be installed/who does the install. Are there softwares out there that you can install your own? Cuz i keep hearing that dealers have to install or you have to send your ecu.

Since you have an OBD-II car you would just have to have your ecu flashed. As for install I don't know if you posses the mechanical knowledge to install it so it may be a moot point. I'm sure most BMW mechanics can do the install.

well I have friends that have OBD-II american cars and they just plug it into the OBD-II port and it uploads the software. I think shark injector is along the same lines. I don't know why this would be any different. So yes that should be a DIY kind of thing.
