Default Someday Garage

This weekend I was sitting around thinking about what cars would go in my big pole-barn garage someday, after I can afford such a thing. Sort of a dream-car list for the working man, not super exotic but fun and theoretically affordable. Here's my list - what's yours?

1995 318ti (hey, one down!)
2001 M Coupe (work of art...and brutal power)
2006 M5 6-speed (pushing the limits of affordability)
e23 733i/735i 5-speed (ultimate cool, classic luxury w/manual trans)
1968 Camaro SS (the curves...to die for)
1969 Corvette (sharky, chrome bumpers, yum)
1960's Beetle (yellow, of course)
1st generation Viper GTS (the new ones are bland)
1966 Corvair Corsa (had one, want another -offbeat classic)

What's in your "someday garage?" No fair stocking it with Lamborghinis and McLarens unless you're really on the fast track to rock-stardom.

But isn't the 2005 m5 a 7speed?

Ah, the SMG is...but the upcoming REAL manual will be a 6-speed. According to Autoweek. Dunno how to shift a clutched 7-speed. And I wouldn't touch SMG with a 20 foot pole!

AFAIK, BMW has stated the M5 will only be available with SMG.

Anyways, mine is:

318ti (the one I already have)
1995 M3 with 3.2 conversion (nice comfy powerful cruiser)
S54 M Coupe (stock)
1992 Isuzu Impulse RS (AWD, turbo, forged internals, then add lots of aftermarket goodies )
1991 Isuze Panero Irmscher (stock, I just want to have one to say I do)
1991 Lotus Elan (modded to hell, can't have a stock lotus )
1967 Mustang GT (and not with that god awful eleanor kit on it) fully restored.
Nissan Titan. The redneck in me needs a truck.
Any old CJ

Yep, '89 - '91 the Dakota got a soft top option by ASC convertibles but sold thru Dodge dealers as OEM. Available in black, white and red with grey or maroon (bleh) interior. Pretty rare but available.
