E.g., red wax to be used on red paint, etc. Does anyone have experience with that sort of thing, especially on a black car? Thanks for any/all input! __________________ Real men know how to SEARCH! I just go and use any wax that I like... You wouldn't even have to worry about your paint because I think that your car's paint is like mine...and it SHOULD have a clearcoat on it (Schwarz II)... Hope this helps somehow... -Randy __________________ 97 Jet Black 318ti Sport. Not so stock anymore!.... It really helped to cover up my dings and stuff. I think it worked really well. I used Turtle Wax. I also have Schratch X from McGuires which i havent tried yet __________________ 1993 325is Hellrot Tribute to: 97 318ti Montreal Blue R.I.P 96 318ti Schwartz II | | | 05-29-2006, 04:08 PM | #6 | Member Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: Waterloo, Ontario, Canada Posts: 44 | I use the black Turtle wax and it does a pretty good job - I usually wax over top of that with Meguirs Tech DnD | | | 05-29-2006, 05:48 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: Berkeley, CA Posts: 411 | Quote: Originally Posted by drkblu318ti I recently put some on mine and it came with a "chipstick" looked like lipstick. Thought it was a bunch of bollocks. __________________ I'm back with a different 95 ti | | | 05-29-2006, 08:10 PM | #8 | Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: Greensboro, North Carolina Posts: 77 | What I find that works extremly well is "CAJUN SHINE ALL". I used it on my mother's black XJ Super V8 Jaguar and I got all the swirls out and made the car look shiny like it come right of the showroom floor. Thats good stuff. Its a wax/polish/protectant that you can use to clean your car without soap and water and you can use it on glass, chrome, plastic, vinyl and rubber. It easy to get off too. You dont have to keep buffing to get the film off like most wax and polishes. It helps repel dust off your car and water beads off so you dont be left with water spots after it rains or gets wet. here is a link to the product website. I havent used it on my car yet because I just got it painted and it hasnt cured yet. Make sure you read the testamonials and watch the video. http://www.cajunshine.com | | | 04-16-2009, 03:44 AM | #9 | Junior Member Join Date: Apr 2009 Location: Roanoke, VA Posts: 18 | Sorry to drag this up again. I have some experience with 'colored waxes'. The wax that I personally import from England has 'colour charged' waxes that give slight advantages to the color it is designed for. I would PM an admin to ask if im allowed to tell the site that I own but I believe I need a few more posts. The fact is however this will help very little. I still recommend people to use our premium wax for all colors over the color charged wax because it is the ingredients that affect the look more then the color. ,Dan | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
