OH: E28 3.25 Limited-slip Differential

E28 3.25 Limited-slip differential with ~130k on it. Bought it back in spring after i blew out my 3.45 open-diff. I have put about 5k on it since then. BMW limited-slip differential gear oil was used in this unit. This is a 4-bolt differential.

In the process of changing a few things on my 325ti and want a lower geared differential. Im looking for a 3.73 Limited-slip differential in exhange for my 3.25 Limited-slip differential. If you have a lower mileage or great condition higher mileage, let me know.

I have a 3.73 limited slip in my E28 that I would like to trade for a 3.25 limited slip. It was originally from an E30. It doesn't make any noise and has not given me any problems. I would consider a swap if you're interested. I'm in Northern Va.

I just found the purchase order for when I bought it. I got it from Aardvarc Racing in January 2003 for $375.00 and it was in very good condition. I also have the work order for when it was installed in February of 2003 and it shows that I've put 20,000 miles on it.

Only thing about that is shipping costs, its not cheap by any means.

Unfortunately, there is no getting around that unless we meet somewhere in the middle. I don't know where you are in Ohio, but I am in the Washington, D.C. area. I'm guessing there is more than a few hundred miles between us.

Im at the northwest corner of ohio and since its the only diff i have right now, i doubt id be able to drive the car to a meeting spot for the trade, unless there was a free garage to install the new one, lol. Ill see what i can do about a trade and shipping costs.
