Default Spark Plugs

OK situation need some ideas, I bought some spark plugs for the car i got the wrong ones or so I think i did cause of a rough idle and misfire, So i called Orielly today and they said they would be happy in exchanging for Bosch OE style plugs. The situation I would have to bring back the plugs that are installed in the motor which leave the spark plug hole open for an hour or so while i run to the store to exchange them. You think I would be ok in doing this or should i cover the holes with something to prevent debris in getting in there? I am open to any ideas or if this is going to be ok

Just lay a towel over the spark plug holes and go to the store.

Not a big deal, a valve is almost always open in an engine. If moisture is your concern.

You probably got the wires mixed up on the plugs. Or perhaps you accidentally left the oil cap cracked open? These two things will give you a misfire/rough idle and they're easy to do. Was there any oil in the spark plug holes when you pulled the old ones out?

Doubled and tripled checked the oil cap and when i pulled old ones out no oil bone dry. I do have a cracked intake boot that i am going to replace as soon as i get it from Benm. I hope this is going to be the problem and not the plugs but i want to replace them with OE style plugs just to be on the safe side. Thanks for the info I think i am going to just cover it with a towel or something so i can run to the part store real quick

Michael yeah covering them with a towel should be fine especially since your Ti is inside the parking garage.

Just put the connectors back in the hole after you take the plugs out.

NGK BKR6EQUP are the best OEM plug you can buy for the M42/44.
