Default BMW TR1003 CD Changer

Hello all,

Wanted to know if it is normal for this changer to skip on harsh bumps. It does not skip over speed bumps. It skips only when going at around 40 mph and there is a pot hole in the road or so. Can anyone chime in?

For a player of that age i think its pretty typical. The buffers they have arent huge like newer cd players.

On the two changers I have there is an adjustment that you set according to how the changer is going to be mounted; flat, 45 degrees, or even perpendicular. That adjuster may be set wrong for how your changer is mounted. Mine was, and it skipped until I made the correct adjustment. There is a thread somewhere on the internet about this. Good luck. John

JCA nailed it right in the head. Set the adjustment to 45 degrees and the skipping stopped! It was set to horizontal but since the ti's cd changer lays at a 45 degree angle it requires a middle setting.
