I have a 99 318ti with M kit and I installed some 2" drop springs but nothing changed. I'm still at 7" in the rear and 5" in the front, measured front the ground to the side skirt. What's the problem? With a 2" drop I think I should see some noticeable results immediately right? But I hear it takes like 2 weeks? But my question is, with a 2" drop, shouldn't there be immediate noticeable results? | | | 11-29-2014, 06:36 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2013 Location: NJ Posts: 373 | Did you my 318ti specific springs or any E36 lowering springs? The regular E36's have longer rear springs and shocks due to the different rear suspension, so that is maybe why you're having the height issue. __________________ 2000 M5 -> 1996 318ti -> 1997 328i Instagram: ndrewchow YouTube: MINIzguy | | | 11-29-2014, 10:05 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | Yeah sounds like a regular e36 kit. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 11-30-2014, 01:02 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2014 Location: California Posts: 215 | No its a TI kit, I can post links to the product I purchased too http://www.ebay.com/itm/400810805440...torefresh=true scroll down and you'll see a list of compatible vehicles. 318ti is listed there Last edited by Estii; 11-30-2014 at 01:04 AM. | | | 11-30-2014, 02:26 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2013 Location: NJ Posts: 373 | That's a generic E36 kit. Since it is made for the regular E36's, it won't fit the ti properly as the rear spring is too long. __________________ 2000 M5 -> 1996 318ti -> 1997 328i Instagram: ndrewchow YouTube: MINIzguy | | | 11-30-2014, 03:37 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2014 Location: California Posts: 215 | Damn, so where can I get a TRUE 318ti spring and what is a good height to be at? | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
