Default Need help with 5 speed/s52 wiring

I'm in the middle of my 5 speed/ s52 swap on my 97TI. I have all the drivetrain and 5 speed parts bolted up, all that's left of basiacly all wiring and putting the front end back together.

I'm confused when it comes to the wiring for the 5 speed swap. I know #7 on the auto shift connector needs to be spliced with the "black/yellow ignition wire. Problem is, I can't seem to find this wire, here are pictures of the wiring I have.

Also, if anyone knows how to wire the reverse lights that would be really helpful,

Thanks,
Joe

I'd have to look, but I did figure out the safety switch wiring and the reverse lights

Care to share what you figured out? Ill be doing this soon. I've been prepping a 5 sp manual and rear LSD differential and e30 axles to swap into my 98 ti. I've already done the motor swap. Running a 98 328i obd2 setup with a zf auto. The car is a blast to drive but the manual will be even more so. I'm sure I can figure out the wires but wouldn't mind seeing how you did it

Yea the wiring is fairly simple, just need to splice 2 wires together on the harness that plugged into the automatic shifter to bypass the safety switch, or what would be even better is to run those wires to the safety switch on the clutch pedal so the car will only start when the clutch pedal is pressed. I chose not too and just spliced them together to bypass the switch.

Only other wiring running some wire from the reverse light switch on the transmission and attaching them to two of the wires from the same harness as the safety switch.

I'll have to take some pics later for ya and tell you what color wires to splice together

Should only need to tackle the neutral safety switch and reverse lights.

The wiring diagrams are on-line for the range switch from the auto. The reverse switch is easy, on the side of the manual trans.

The neutral safety circuit should really go to the clutch pedal switch for.... well safety AND for functioning cruise if you have that. I initially wired mine to the ignition as you suggest, cruise was non-op and it would start indifferent from clutch pedal position.
