I was trying to install them today and when I tried to install the front, the sleeves wouldn't fit over the front shocks/struts. Has anyone installed these with stock shocks? My car is sitting on stands at the moment. Any help would be great! | | | 02-25-2008, 08:29 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Florida Posts: 2,525 | Did you tell them the type of shock you are running? When you order them, you have to tell them what you are running, so they can make sure that they fit... I'm guessing this is just the coil-over conversion kit. Make sure you are using a kit intended to work with stock shocks. They have kits that fit koni, sach, boge, or stock. | | | 02-25-2008, 09:53 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Saint Paul, MN Posts: 3,244 | GC kits are compatible with koni and stock shocks but I think they require you to grind off the flanges, etc. __________________ My Former Rides 1999 318ti Alpine White, Cali Roof, Dinan goodies 1996 318ti Hellrot California Edition | | | 02-26-2008, 11:34 AM | #4 | Junior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Rosemead, Ca Posts: 12 | Thanks for the replies. I actually went ahead and called Ground Control for this. They told me to remove a plastic / rubber cap that says 'Do Not Open' on it... | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
