Default new project

we got a e36 parts car, it has cruise control and fog lights.
im going to be taking the cruise control out, and installing in my ti.
the fog light kit from BMW with wiring, and all is cheaper than buying 2 new fog lights, and switches and just putting wiring from other car in.

anyone have any idea of what i need to take out? and what id have to buy?
i know id have to get a bowden cable to go to throttle but are there any brains or other wires than the ones coming from the knob and going to the box?
any fuses or relays id have to add?
any help is apreciated.
thanks!

just cc for now, fog lights will come later when we get the kit in, and it will have instructions from the dealer.
i just need the locations of any brains/fuses/relays that i will need to take with the cc when i take it out of the parts car.
after that i can re-install easily.

ok, well i removed it today, it consisted of:
main unit located under the hood
switch knob located on steering column
brain located under left side of dashboard

i would not recommend removing one yourself unless its a part car, like ours because to do it properly and get all the wires, you need to take out the dashboard, and everything underneath it.

my pictures will explain better than i can.

sorry some are blurry, im not the best picture taker.

Not true. I removed CC from the 325ti and installed it in the 332ti. It takes some patients to trace all of the wires and pull them out successfully.

The wires that have to pass through the firewall are a major pain to reinstall. Probably the most annoying part of the whole job.

That and it doesn't work yet. I haven't had enough time to troubleshoot, but I'll post the installation error when I find it. Maybe you'll be able to educate me on what I did wrong.

oh, ok, well we were parting it anyway, so i just went ahead and removed everything, figured that was easiest way to do it since it wasn't going back together.
and yeah, i bet it will be a pain to do the wires through the firewall.
and yeah, that'd be great so i know what to look out for when i install mine, which will probably be next week.

and i agree on the patience, lots of patience is always good when working on bmws.
