Same, I had mine cleaned at about 175k miles and only gained 5% or so on them. Spray patterns were still looking nice. I was pretty impressed.

Took advantage of Radio Shack closing to buy some cheap alarm fob batteries. I finally get more than 5 feet of range to unlock the car!

I got tired of having a dead spot at night in my console on the Cali. Replaced all the main instrument bulbs for nice even lighting. 😎

Mostly installed a Mason rear strut bar on my 98 Cali Sport this evening.

Mostly meaning I got 3 of the 4 bolts in place. Any suggestions for getting the fourth bolt aligned are welcome.

I'll zip around tomorrow to see if I can get the suspension to settle.

Loosen all the nuts. Get the 4th bolt in place. Retighten all the nuts.

A couple of random thoughts...

Add some weight to the rear, maybe have someone stand back there? Then move the weight side to side to see how that changes the alignment of the bar?

Or, maybe shim the attachment point?

Yeah, thanks guys. Tried both as you can imagine as well as cranking the two towers together with a small winch. I didn't want to damage anything so I didn't force it. I sent a note to John. If no other options, I'll ask him to reweld a new connection block and redrill it.

Updated: Used 3/8" allen bolts and oblonged the top bracket holes. All installed and better now.

Did the brake upgrade ('98+ vented rotor) on my '97 yesterday. Let's just say an 11mm flare nut wrench is a must for this job. That is all.

Jerry, didja notice any difference? I also did a E34 rear brake swap as well. Straight caliper and carrier swap.

Rich, I would jack the driver's side rear of the car up as high as I could, to see if that brought the two rear strut towers a little closer together. Good luck with it. John

Thanks John! I actually did resolve it without preloading the strut.
