Default Was my asc deleted?

I'm trying to order the tube that connects from the intake tube to down at the injector "squid". There are two parts one depending on whether you have the asc+t or not. I know that sometimes the asc is deleted, and I think deleting the secondary throttle is part of that. Could you guys tell me if my asc was deleted so I can figure out which tube to order?

Interesting. Any clue why the button is there to turn it on and off? I'm talking about the rectangular button on the left side of the dash that turns turns the yellow light on in the dash with the arrow circling it.

Well, the intake boot is for the non asc I take it, so I'll order the non asc tube. Sound like a good plan?

There is ASC and later ASC-T. <I think>

Cool. Thanks for the feedback. I didn't know there were two different kinds of asc... I wonder what the one in my car does if that is the case, or if mine has just been partially deleted. The intake boot is OLD. It's cracking and I'm about to replace it as well, so I'd guess that it's original if someone were to ask me...

I did a quick search and found an article that talks about the different traction contol versions in BMW's. It doesn't mention the 318 but might have some clarification...

I have a 96 with the same intake boot and a switch on the dash and a 4.44 in the rear. Also i push it and no lights come on in the dash. I have always wondered what the heck it does.

My 98TI that i got rid of also had the ASC and a different intake boot and a light would come on in the dash. So confusing

ASC= Use of the antilock brake system to control car stability/skids
ASC+T adds traction control.

My 95 has neither...

I have the asc. I was just in the car tonight and the button on the dash says ASC. So for sure like Dave says there are two versions of the system. I'm glad I don't have that extra throttle piece. That looks like a problem waiting to happen. Anyway thanks all.

By the way Dave, this is Jason down in so cal - all250r. Did I send your intake boot back? The guy i worked with is selling them on eBay now but they dont fit over larger carbs because of the material he is using, so I dont know ife he's sellin many. Let me know bc honstly I dont remember that project took so damn long... Small world!!
